Hide the PDF panel and it stays hidden. Bring it back and it’s exactly as you left it.
Panels
- A hidden PDF stays hidden — forward search, outline and label clicks, and the post-build jump used to open the panel. Now they move only the editor and leave the preview where you left it.
- The PDF returns at its own width — opening the panel widens the window by the column’s previous width instead of resizing it to match the editor, so a PDF you made narrow stays narrow.
- No swapping sides while hidden — the swap button is disabled while the panel is hidden, because there’s nothing to swap.
